NEW DELHI: A subsidiary of Indian engineering large L&T will develop an eVTOL (electrical vertical takeoff and touchdown) air taxi collectively with Texas-based aerospace firm, Jaunt Air Mobility.
L&T Know-how Companies (LTTS) says it has received a multi-year $100-million-plus electrical air mobility deal from Jaunt that has its design and manufacturing centre in Montreal, Canada. As a part of the contract, LTTS says it’ll open an engineering and R&D Centre in Canada “for the next-gen electrical plane producer to supply engineering companies for the eVTOL air taxi”.
Union aviation minister J M Scindia had just lately invited eVTOL producers to come back to India to arrange manufacturing models right here and function companies too.
