Samsung presented its latest mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 smartphones, which try to seduce customers with a much more modest price tag than the S21 devices, but with a great main camera and a great display.
In January, Samsung unveiled its first flagship phone of the year, the Galaxy S22 product line, the devices of which the cheapest model starts at Rs. 190000 (USD. 849) Not everyone can and is willing to pay that much for a mobile phone, but the South Korean manufacturer also has mid-range devices that cost much less, but you don’t have to make a lot of compromises when buying them. This is the A-series that has been successful for years: the smooth and 5G variant of the device named A32 was introduced already the last year, and the A72 and A52 phones Joined a few weeks later.
There are no big surprises.
because the manufacturer follows a well-proven strategy with these models: the exterior has changed a bit, the camera system has improved, the processor has become more powerful, and the battery performance has increased compared to the previous year’s versions, and all of this is made even more attractive by new software.
Samsung Galaxy A72
The Samsung Galaxy A72 represents the top of the mid-range category at Samsung: it is the largest model with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, with a maximum 90 Hz refresh rate. The screen is wonderful, and there are thick bezels, but the glass is flat, only the hole of the 32-megapixel selfie camera detracts from the great overall picture. On the back, there are four cameras and an LED flash in a modestly protruding camera island. The back is made of high-quality, matte, non-slippery plastic, with a particularly pleasant grip. The glass should be mentioned here, but anyone who has dropped a phone will hardly complain about it – not least because the phone is the size of a baking tray, but it still makes a pleasant impression, especially if it’s not black or white, but one of we vote for pastel colors (blue, purple) on the new Samsung mobiles.
Under the cover, a Snapdragon 720G works with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, together they reached 275 thousand points in the Antutu benchmark software, and this result is more than enough for everyday use, you can even play games with the mobile phone, but by definition, there will be apps, for which this performance will prove to be insufficient. The battery has a 5,000 milliampere-hour capacity, it can easily withstand creasing for two days, it can be charged with a maximum of 25 watts, and at Samsung, we have to give up wireless charging in the middle category. What is still missing is Wifi 6, as well as facial recognition and 5G, but the camera system is quite good.
The front unit is excellent for selfies, but the main thing is now also located in the back. The main camera is 64 megapixels with an image stabilizer, and decent pictures can be taken with it not only during the day but also at night. The 8-megapixel telephoto is capable of three times optical zoom, with quality in normal lighting conditions that not everyone can tell that the photos were taken zoomed. The 12-megapixel wide-angle camera also does its job during the day, but it’s not really worth taking it out at night, and the macro requires a lot of effort to get really sharp results, and this lens only makes sense in normal natural light. On the whole, however, we get a correct composition, the most used main camera more than meets the needs of an average user, whether it is videos (max 4K/30 fps) or photos.
In Hungary, the Galaxy A72 will be available from March 17 with 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage, for Rs. 100000 (USD. 447), and those who buy one by March 25 can also request a Galaxy Buds+ wireless earphones with their new mobile phone.
Samsung Galaxy A52 and A52 5G
The A52 isn’t all that different from its big brother: it’s slightly smaller, but still not compact, and the display is only 0.2 inches smaller, so it’s 6.5 inches, but there’s no change in terms of capabilities. Externally and internally, we also get almost the same as in the case of the A72, the differences are almost exhausted in that there is a version of this model with 4 GB of RAM, a smaller battery (4500 mAh), and instead of the telephoto lens, there is a 5-megapixel depth sensor here placed on the back cover. No comparison to the Y35 handset in the Vivo mobile phone price list.
It follows that we have to give up the 3x optical zoom here, but the main unit is the same, so in the end, this mobile phone is just as good for photography as the more expensive phone mentioned above.
What you need to know is that while the A72 did not receive a 5G variant, the A52 did, and this model differs from its brother not only in that it can connect to new-generation mobile networks, but also has a better display. Here, Samsung has already built a Super AMOLED panel into the phone, which is capable of 120 Hz image refresh. So for those who value 5G and one of the best available displays in this category, but are not so impressed by the three-times zoom-in photography, this mobile phone can be a much better choice than the other two new products.
Like the A72, the A52 and A52 5G are also available from March 17 with 6GB of memory and 128GB of storage. The price of the plain version is Rs. 80500 (USD. 359), while the 5G version costs Rs. 98000 (USD. 438) In addition, there is also a sale here, according to which anyone who buys any device by the end of 2022 can even claim a Galaxy Buds+ wireless earphones with their new mobile phone as an extra. We can find the same offer on A57, Oppo New model 2022 price in Pakistan.
And if this is still a lot for someone, it is worth thinking about the previously announced Galaxy A32 model, of which there is also a smooth 5G version. The camera system, the display, and the hardware are more modest here than in the newly unveiled phones, but in return, the price is also lower: the price of the plain A32 is Rs. 50999 (USD. 227), while the 5G version costs Rs. 69000 (USD. 308).
