The final island is where every One Piece pirate dreams. This island was first discussed by D. Roger, as Roger was about be executed by Navy. Roger explained that One Piece was real and that he also had all his treasure. Since then, the desire of young pirates to discover the Last Island has grown.
Raftel was later found to be the name on the last island. It turns out it was a pronunciation his real name, Laugh Tale. In Kozuki Oden’s flashback we learn why the island is named Laugh Tale. Roger gave it the name after he had a good laugh at what he found – possibly The One Piece Poneglyph.
Pirates must put in a lot to get to the last island. They will need to gather information about routes and directions through the Road Poneglyph . The Road Poneglyph is very mysterious and hard to find. The reason Laugh Tale is so difficult is not only because it has One Piece.
Brook’s song Bink’s Sake’s lyric Bink’s Sake’s “Laugh Tale” romanizes the name of the island as “Laughtale”. This may have something to do Brook’s last lyric which could be interpreted as “a funny / ridiculous story / endless laughing” Bink’s Sake has a funny story (Laughing Story/Laughtale) that is based on the island.
Joy Boy could have composed Bink’s Sake to give clues to the discovery of the island at Laugh Tale. While this theory may be speculative, Laugh Tale would appear to be an island that runs in the same way as Zou. The lyrics are translated as “never ending”, meaning that we can keep going. This is why the story / island of our journey is so funny.
The song also describes leaving Laugh Tale one last time. This could be interpreted as “waves… of gold and sand alternately wet eachother.”
Another song lyric is “Ming Ri mo Yue Ye”, meaning “tomorrow is moonlit night”. Based on the conclusion of the song, Bink’s Sake could be suggesting that accessing an island can only take place when the sun sets/rises when there is a full moon. This could be the reason why Laugh Tale island is nearly impossible to access, except with the help of Road Poneglyph. Road Poneglyph will give instructions as to when the best time is to access Laugh Tale. According to scientific research, each month’s gold and silver waves last 24 minutes. It is very difficult to know the exact time of the silver and gold waves. This makes it even more difficult to find the island’s position, due to factors such as fog or mist.
