NEW DELHI: The federal government on Friday slapped a Rs 6 per litre tax on exports of petrol and ATF and Rs 13 per litre on exports of diesel. The federal government additionally slapped a Rs 23,230 per tonne extra tax on domestically produced crude oil to remove windfall good points accruing to producers from excessive worldwide oil costs, a separate authorities notification confirmed.
The tax on exports follows oil refiners, significantly the personal sector, reaping big good points from exporting gas to markets equivalent to Europe and the US.
