Individuals all throughout San Diego County reported feeling an earthquake Sunday morning. USGS reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake close to the Palomar Observatory at 9:46 a.m. after initially reporting it at a 4.1 magnitude.
The epicenter was positioned 2.9 miles from the Palomar Observatory, 17.7 miles from Escondido and 25.6 miles from Oceanside.
Residents throughout San Diego County from Escondido, Oceanside, Chula Vista and elsewhere are posting on social media that they felt the shake.
The quake was measured at 13.7 miles in depth, the USGS mentioned.
