The Attack on Titan anime series has entered its fourth season. This is also the final season. There are however only a few chapters left in the manga. After the shocking death of Hange Zoe series creator HajimeIsayama kept fans wondering about what had happened and who would be next in the Rumbling.
We get the answer to this question in manga chapter 135 from yesterday. This chapter shows Armin who is the successor to Hange and how he becomes the next victim. He was captured in the past by one of Titans and then he was eaten by the Titan. A surprise comes in the next chapter.
Armin’s condition is described in Chapter 136, entitled “Devote Your Hearts.” Armin is still alive, but the unusual situation in which he’s currently finds himself makes him realize that he’s far from alone. Zeke Jaeger was also affected by the same fate as Armin. They are all trapped within the Paths world.
After their plan to destroy Eren’s Founding Titan forms fails, the remaining allied force – Levi Mikasa Jean Connie Reiner, Jean, Connie and Connie – are forced by Ymir Fritz to flee from any attacks. He orders the Titans not to attack but to defend. Whoever tries interfere.
Falco’s Winged Titan was able to rescue them and get them to safety. Their comrades were still missing, but they realized this. Pieck Finger, who is still in the middle the battle against Cart Titan’s Form, is trapped. Armin is unable to be found after he was eaten by one or more of the Titans before him.
Armin’s situation is unclear. It isn’t known if Armin is still conscious or dead. His spirit, to be sure, could see his body. Armin also knew this was the Path world, and he believed that this was what connected all Eldian minds.
Armin saw Zeke in frustration. Eren’s older sibling was last seen at chapter 122. Eren had beaten him to the power of the Founding Titan. Then he carried out his plan of destroying humanity by the events in Rumbling. This was “agreed” by Ymir Fritz.
Last time that the Beast Titan appeared, he was using his throwing ability to eliminate all air attacks that led the Titan Eren wall. Ymir Fry was responsible for all this. Fans doubted at the time that Zeke had survived. Armin and Zeke had a conversation at the close of chapter 136. Zeke claimed that they were “eaten” by Ymir.
Mikasa’s and other allied forces could eventually find Armin’s remains, but that is up to Armin (and Zeke) whether they want them to return from Path World. It is unclear how they got out.
