NEW DELHI: Telecom operators Vodafone Concept Ltd (VIL), Tata Teleservices Ltd and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML) is not going to develop into public sector undertakings after their curiosity payable on dues are transformed into authorities fairness, the communications ministry stated on Wednesday.
The three debt-ridden corporations have proposed to transform their curiosity legal responsibility payable to the federal government into fairness.
“These three corporations is not going to develop into PSUs. These three corporations will proceed to be managed as professionally run personal corporations,” Telecom ministry stated in an announcement.
Submit conversion, the federal government would have 35.8 per cent in VIL and the shareholding in TTML at round 9.5 per cent.
